Windows Mobile – Microsoft finally pulling the plug on Windows 10 mobile.

After just a few years in the mobile business, and less than stellar sales performance, Microsoft officially announced the end of support for Windows mobile. The Windows 10 mobile support page lists December 10 2019 as the platforms final day. In Addition Microsoft has stated that current users should move to Android or iOS.

Windows mobile never really took off. Almost 5 years After apple launched the iPhone, Microsoft launched their first windows phone. Even after a few years of deep Research and Development, Microsoft was still playing catch up to Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android.

While some will mourn the platform’s death, others will be rejoicing now that Microsoft can focus on Windows 10.
