AMD’s Last Gen Processors could cost the company millions

While AMD may be on an all time high with their Ryzen CPU’s, almost making up for the years of little to no development. AMD may be facing a class action law suit for their previous generation processors. The claim encompasses both their Bulldozer and Pile-driver generations.

According to the class action, AMD misrepresented the number of cores on their “8 core” Processors. The lawsuit claims that customers didn’t understand AMD’s definition of CPU cores. The customer believed that they were getting 8 independent cores.

So while AMD has moved on to bigger and better things with its processors, it may find still itself dragged back to the grim old days to pay out millions of dollars to people who feel they got burned by Bulldozer.
