Reviews are out! The Hype is real! The future is here, they said! But not even one week since review units of Samsung’s future shaping flagship, were posted, faith in the future was utterly crushed.
The reports flooded in. Samsung Galaxy Fold’s were unexpectedly breaking. At least two, The Verge and CNBC‘s Devices – of the so called fold-able display phones have mysteriously broken.
Other reviewers attempted to remove what looked like a pre-applied screen protector, but in the process damaged the display. Samsung has released a statement revealing that this screen protector like layer on top of the glass, is actually a vital part of the display structure. Though they are yet to announce a reason behind the mysterious bulging along the hinge of certain units though.
Samsung announced yesterday that the Fold has been delayed until the fault is resolved and the display structure, strengthened. So I guess we will have to be patient and see what the future has in store for this future setting smartphone.
