CES 2019 – Has AI assistance gone too far?

At the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show, CES in Las Vegas, AI is being put in almost everything. From Internet connected dishwashers and fridges to internet-controlled door locks, AI can help us save on our electricity bill and help keep our houses secured.

Now all those might seem relatively useful, but there has emerged an unusual use for this modern Technology. Plumbing company, Kohler, wants to get in on the AI powered action and has released the worlds first AI assisted Intelligent toilet, expressing that the toilet has practical features and provides an interactive and engaging experience, whatever that means.

Now you are probably thinking the same as me, why on earth would I need an intelligent toilet? Kohler makes the argument that the benefits of their ALEXA powered loo are many, including improved water efficiency, built in surround sound speakers, mood lighting and intuitive voice controls. So, if your ever feeling lonely while your going about your business, just remember that the option is available to have a digital friend right by you to support you during your time of need.
